Harley Quinn Redesign

I would have posted this up sooner, but my life is like falling apart right now.

Nevermind that though.

So... Harley Quinn. For all of those who keep up with DC Comics, you guys will know of the changes done to the character and her costume. It's... barely a costume anymore. More just lingerie. And it isn't even really jester/harlequin themed anymore either. So the pun on her name is useless nowadays.

I think all the need to redesign Harley into something super sexy started with the Batman Arkham Asylum game, where she dressed up as a nurse for... some reason. I guess she wanted to. Whatever. Then they had to give her a new outfit for the next game in the series. Which was better. Still not very jester-like. But that's not the point. What I'm getting at is that until these games came out, everyone was happy with her originally skin tight jester outfit. But now that isn't sexy enough. Harley needs to show skin now. Now she needs a corset that is barley closed to be sexy.

Well... anyway. About my redesign.

Obviously I tried to keep in mind harlequins and jester, to keep with her name's pun. I kept her original color scheme, cause I prefer the black, red and white theme for her. And instead of going super sexy, I thought making the outfit more cute and fun would be better. Again, not that I'm against sexy, just against women as nothing but super sexualized sex dolls. I was going to give her leggings and an undershirt, but I thought since people loving having Harley show skin, I'll give them this. Tasteful skin. Also I thought turning her jester hat into a sort of ski/winter hat was cute and fun idea.

Also I want it to be stated that I don't think that there is anything wrong with Harley's original outfit. And I still prefer that one to mine or any other redesign she has had. But if Harley NEEDS a redesign, I would rather it be something closer to her original outfit than... well, what the New 52 has put her in.
